Sustainable Fashion
Synergy is a family run businesses started by husband and wife duo Kate Fisher and Henry Schwab. Synergy is committed to producing clothing with the highest environmental and ethical principles. At the core, Synergy is not only committed to creating clothing with a minimal environmental impact, but also empowering men and women through ethical employment practices. Synergy clothing begins with GOTS certified organic cotton grown and loomed into fabric in India. Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a lower impact on the environment than conventionally grown cotton such as not using toxic pesticides or synthetic fertilizers and without using genetically engineered seed. All of their fabrics are also made with low impact dyes. These dyes have a high absorption rate, which decreases the use of rinse water and produces less waste.  Kate and Henry are directly connected to all of the moving parts that make up the business, and are connected to Synergy’s family of employees both within the United States and overseas in Nepal and India. Each garment is ethically sewn in a GOTS certified factory by men and women who are paid a living wage for their work. All Synergy employees are protected from unsafe working conditions and toxic chemicals. Through treating their employees well, Synergy believes that the future of these communities will be brighter and more prosperous.
